| But
now, as he approached his mid-thirties, Richie Strafe knew
that he was never going to achieve that sort of immortality.
He didn’t even play in a band any more and hadn’t
since his one time best friend and now rock legend Danny Cappaldi
had kicked him out of The Sensationals when they were still
in their teens.
Now,
as Cappaldi enjoyed the sell out world tours, glossy Hello
Magazine photo-spreads and sanctimonious African Charity Appeals,
Richie Strafe worked nine to five in a job he tolerated and
went home to a girlfriend who didn’t really like him.
There
was one way though, there was one chance for him to leave
an indelible mark on the world and settle the score that had
bugged for fifteen years: he could kill Cappaldi.
As the idea ferments inside his mind Richie Strafe embarks
upon a journey that starts in the innocent days of his youth
in the 1980’s and leads him into a world of strange
Greek Philosophers, Cockney psychopaths, Scouse lap-dancers
and Teddy Boy hit men.
At
the end of this journey will he do it, will he kill Danny
Cappaldi?
The
comic travails of Richie Strafe and his quest for immortality
will appeal to anyone who has ever questioned their own place
in history.
